Ghost Stop Playing Coy, Announce New Album Meliora

Ghost have now admitted that which they previously denied, even though everyone knew it anyway: their new album will be called Meliora, and will be out August 21. Here’s the cover art:

Is this image a play on a famous movie poster, as has been the case with the art for the band’s previous albums? Nothing is jumping out at me, but I’m sure someone in the comments section will point out the movie poster in question if such a connection exists.

ANYWAY, the album’s first single, “Cirice,” should be out any day now. We will, of course, let you know as soon as it is. In the meantime, enjoy this late night television spot the band has released, won’t you?
