Old Youth Culture: The Triumphant Return of Nights Like These

Nights Like These - Old Youth CultureYou can be forgiven if you don’t remember Nights Like These. The Memphis, TN quintet haven’t released an album since 2007 — an eternity in the extreme music world — and that record, the excellent Sunlight at Secondhand, got lost in the crowd of too-many metallic hardcore bands.

But it’s never too late for second chances! And so it is with great pleasure that I inform you of Nights Like These’s new, self-released album, Old Youth Culture, which is most certainly a worthy follow-up to Sunlight. The band still sounds like a sludgier Converge, and they still sound like they’re just hemorrhaging venom, like they’ve got so much vitriol inside of them that they just can’t hold it back any longer. This is the soundtrack to a curb stomping if ever there was one.

Stream Old Youth Culture below! You’ll be glad you did. You can purchase the album here.

Thanks: Brandon G.
