Oh Hell Yes, New Clutch Record

0

If you’re like me and love some boogie-down DC muscle rock, then you’ve been rabidly following the bits and pieces of info that have been released surrounding the new Clutch record. There’s been the hotel room ironing board snippet, the new songs played live, and the title. At this point, I’ve reached critical levels of Fucking Stoked. I need to know: when is Psychic Warfare coming out and what’s it look like?

Today, we’ve received the answer, and it is sweet. The band has announced that Psychic Warfare will be out October 2nd, and they’ve dropped the album cover and tracklisting as well.

Here are the tracks:

01. The Affidavit
02. X-Ray Visions
03. Firebirds
04. A Quick Death In Texas
05. Sucker For The Witch
06. Your Love Is Incarceration
07. Doom Saloon
08. Our Lady Of Electric Light
09. Noble Savage Clutch
10. Behold The Colossus
11. Decapitation Blues
12. Son Of Virginia

Ungh.

What I love about this cover is that it’s not full of the same psychedelic imagery that band has used for recent albums like Earth Rocker and Strange Cousins From The West. It’s still out-there–the angel with the sword reading ‘Wonder’ is a nice touch–but it’s got a lot more of that straight-forward rock vibe going on. The song titles exude a similar vibe. “Doom Saloon”? Sign me up.

Anyway, October 2nd. Weathermaker Music. Get your boots on, guys.
