As much as I like to rib Stray From the Path for their blatant Rage Against the Machine worship I actually like the band very much. I love Rage Against the Machine so I like these guys too, and although I usually wouldn’t approve of a band so shamelessly aping their heroes there is not a single other band that’s done it to Rage Against the Machine, so Stray get a pass. Besides which, if you asked them I’m sure they’d say, “Yeah, we love Rage!” Everyone knows the deal here.

And so, after hearing a few very pissed off new songs from SFTP’s new album Subliminal Criminals, now we get to hear the entire thing a few days before its August 14th release. And it’s great! Dudes are angry as fuck, the riffs are stellar and the songs are catchy and memorable. It’s everything you want from that new Rage Against the Machine album that doesn’t exist and would probably blow goats if it did because those guys are salty olds now.
