It’s that part of the hottest season when things reach their boiling point and fully melt into a viscous slimy mess, figuratively and literally.
And after such a supercool summer, we are long overdue for an overheated twilight of hypnotic, delirious, MOIST bout of sweat/piss/fluid X-driven humidity and humility — this time courtesy of a steamy new split LP from Phoenix, Arizona’s Funerary and Italy’s Ooze. You can listen to the split full via a recent stream on Noisey and purchase it on vinyl directly from our favorite West Coast DIY devils, Los Angeles’ Midnite Collective, an organization so damn classy that they mailed out fancy printed invitations to the warmup party for their upcoming two-day November event in Long Beach, California called Communion III, aka the “Midnite Masquerade” (A Dark Arts, Music & Craft Exhibition), which features a ridiculous lineup that includes Morne, Buried At Sea, Unearthly Trance, and several others, in addition to an art/craft gala and plenty of other treats/surprises (tickets here).
