Uncle Acid and The Deadbeats’ “Melody Lane” is Lined with Smut and Horror

Man, I wasn’t a huge fan of Uncle Acid when I first heard them and saw them at MDF 2014 — a little too soft on the punch, honestly — but this new joint, “Melody Lane.” is awesome. It’s like the Beatles went insane and started hanging out with the Manson Clan.

The video for “Melody Lane” is a perfect representation of that. Full of British schlock horror violence and creepy sexual imagery, it’s like a distillation of a ’70s monster movie fan’s wet dreams. It would also be, true to the band’s namesake, the perfect video to watch while tripping a shitload of LSD. So if you have a couple tabs and a strong personal disposition, I say go for it (WARNING: METALSUCKS IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY BAD TRIPS, SICK VIBES, OR QUESTIONABLE BONERS EXPERIENCED WHILE TRIPPING ACID AND WATCHING “MELODY LANE.” YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED).
