Another Tour Cancelation: Epica Postpone North American Trek Due to Simone Simons’ Family Emergency
Today is not a good day if you enjoy going to see your favorite artists on tour. In the second cancelation in as many hours, Epica have announced that they’ve had to cancel their upcoming North American tour, although the remaining dates will continue with Eluveitie and The Agonist.
Epica fans in Baltimore, Boston and Montreal got to see the band on the first three dates of the tour before vocalist Simone Simons announced she’d be flying home to tend to a family emergency this past weekend. At the time it seemed as if she’d come right back after missing only four dates.
But these things so often don’t go as planned, and the band is pulling out of the remainder of their dates while Simons takes care of business back home:
Major bummer there, but at least the band is pledging to reschedule the tour. European fans can still catch them with Eluvietie in late October and November; dates here.
Here’s to wishing Simons’ family the best with whatever it is that’s causing them trouble at the moment.
