Stoner nutcases Monster Magnet are currently getting ready to release Cobras and Fire (The Mastermind Redux), a collection of remixes and reinterpretations of their 2010 record Mastermind. Today, High Times just premiered “She Digs That Hole,” a new version of the track “Dig That Hole.” Listen to it below.

Remix albums are dubious affairs if you ask me, but I have to admit that “She Digs That Hole” is better than the song on which it’s based. The original is some “Powertrip”-style ranting against the shackles of everyday life, while the new version is about an oversexed biker femme fatale and has a cool Rob Zombie-meets-classic Ozzy feel to it. You can’t help but smirk at lines like, “On a mountain of poon/By the light of the moon.”

Then again, there’s also the line, “A little starfish/The perfect way to end my day.” Which, in the context of the song and coupled with the man lines about holes, could easily be a reference to enjoying some anus before going to bed. Which is, you know, pretty graphic and gross, though totally befitting Monster Magnet.

Anyway, listen to Dave Wyndorf wig out below. It’s probably best you get high before doing so, though. Cobras and Fire (The Mastermind Redux) drops on October 9th via Napalm Records.
