Though he’s already announced the festival’s headlining bands, which include performances by King Diamond, Suffocation, and Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Phil Anselmo’s been relatively quiet about the film schedule for his upcoming Housecore Horror Festival. However, now it appears that Housecore’s film and second stage line-ups have been announced, and man, they rule.

The film line-up can be viewed here, and includes the kiwi metal horror comedy Deathgasmthe Viking biker zombie film Saga featuring Ted Skjellum of Darkthrone, and a bunch of the Alan Ormsby/Bob Clark films like Deranged and Children Shouldn’t Play With Dead Things, all alongside classics including Dawn of the Dead (with a live score by members of Goblin) and Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer. Special events will also include GWAR manager Sleazy P. Martini showing the classic Slave Pit film Skullhedface, as well as another yet-to-be-announced special movie.

Meanwhile, the second stage bands for Housecore Horror, who will be playing at The Korova, include heavy hitters like Black Breath, Hellshock, and Valdur, as well as smaller but notable acts like Mountain of Wizard and Aggravator You can find them at the bottom of this page.

All of which is to say, damn, this is shaping up to be one awesome festival. Any fans who can make it to San Antonio that weekend and aren’t too monstered-out after Halloween should make a point of swinging by for at least one of the night. And remember: it’s always consensual if they’re just a head.
