Allegaeon Channel the Power of Sarah McLachlan in Tour Promo Video

Allegaeon just began a U.S. Tour with Act of Defiance, the band that features Shawn Drover and Chris Broderick (ex-Megadeth) with Shadows Fall’s Matt Bachand and Scar the Martyr vocalist Henry Derek.

What better way to celebrate the tour kick-off than a brief music video set to Sarah McLachlan’s hauntingly beautiful “In the Arms of the Angels?” Allaegaeon have always had a sense of humor about themselves — see also the silly music video for “Threshold of Perception” they shot on a tour off-day, and the “wheel of subgenres” theme for their video for “1.618” — so it’s good to see they’re going into this trek with all the same levity as usual.

This will be Allegaeon’s first tour since vocalist Ezra Haynes departed; Riley McShane has been tapped to fill in.
