Agoraphobic Nosebleed - Arc

Almost two years ago, Agoraphobic Nosebleed announced that they were working on “four independent full length albums, each in a completely different style and direction, representing the tastes and influences of each member of the band” — y’know, basically what KISS did in 1978, only worth giving a shit about.

And though it’s been a long, hard wait for these four albums to materialize, it looks like if we can just resist the urge to drink ourselves to death over the holidays, we will finally get to hear one of ’em: on January 22, Relapse will release Arc, which is led by Kat Katz (ex-Salome). It’s being called an EP on account of containing only three songs, but Arc‘s 27+ minute runtime makes it roughly the same length as ANb’s last proper full-length, 2009’s thirteen-track Agorapocalypse. So it should sate fans at least until the next album in the series is released.

The reason for the great length of these three songs? Well, as Katz herself revealed last year, this is going to be a doom album, not a grind album. The idea of ANb playing doom instead of grind might strike some as odd, but based on the minute-long sample of the song “Gnaw” in the below trailer, it sounds like they nailed it:

And as if that wasn’t enough, Relapse is also going to release ANb’s Frozen Corpse Stuffed with Dope and Altered States of America on vinyl for the first time in over a decade.

Pre-order Arc and these tasty new vinyls here. In the event you’ve never heard Frozen Corpse Stuffed with Dope and Altered States of America before, shame on you, and stream ’em below.
