Video of Scott Weiland’s Final Performance + Police Radio Call of His Death

0

We’re still reeling from the death of Scott Weiland. To read my thoughts on the loss of this incredible talent — as well as some memories of my personal experience and love for his and STP’s music — read the editorial I published this morning.

Meanwhile, Blabbermouth has collected some fan-filmed video clips of Weiland’s final performance, which took place in Toronto this past Tuesday with his band The Wildabouts. There’s nothing particularly spectacular about it — he appears neither at his captivating, hypnotic best nor his slurred, drugged-out worst — but it feels incredibly eerie watching it now, knowing that it was the final time he ever got up on stage. Just another show in the life of. No one could have known.

Just typing that feels weird. It’s hard to believe Scott Weiland is dead. I’m still processing. This man and his music meant so much to me over a very long period of time.

Check out the clips below. I’m grateful to have seen him perform in person as many times as I did.

Meanwhile, police audio of the calls to Weiland’s tour bus have surfaced on the site MNpoliceclips.com. They’re not at all interesting — just matter-of-fact police radio chatter — but for the completists out there… have at it.
