Cocaine Found in Scott Weiland’s Tour Bus Bedroom; Bassist Arrested for Possesion

While Scott Weiland’s widow, Jamie, asserts that the late singer was drug-free prior to his death last week, Rolling Stone has now confirmed what TMZ reported on Friday: that “A small quantity of cocaine was present in the tour bus bedroom where Scott Weiland was found dead.” The magazine also reports that Tommy Black, bassist for Weiland’s band, The Wildabouts, was arrested for possession of that same drug.

Of course, it’s not likely that Weiland overdosed on a small amount of cocaine… but the fact that he had the coke in his possession at the time of his death lends credence to the anonymous “huge rock star” who claims that Weiland “was deep into crack cocaine” in the days prior to his passing.

More information as it becomes available.
