Peep it’s championship pedigree: not only does the band feature two former members of Shai Hulud (vocalist Steve Muczynski and guitarist Mike Moynihan), but Parting Remains was recorded by the legendary Tad Doyle and mixed and mastered by Misery Signals guitarist/producer Greg Thomas. As you can imagine, the resulting music is heavier than a steamroller, at once hideously ugly and gloriously melodic.

How good is this Detroit-area band? So good that they redeem the entire region for Kid Rock. That’s obviously no small praise.
