Video: Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe Joins Deafheaven On Stage

Randy Blythe’s Instagram account is always a good follow — his photography is excellent, and his commentary always insightful — but it’s been especially fun on Lamb of God’s current tour with Anthrax, Deafheaven and Power Trip. His posts about the band’s gear truck wreck and the crew that stitched it all back together were remarkably candid, and he’s had a series of posts revealing Anthrax bassist Frank Bello to be the clown of all clowns, a constant source of amusement (and, at times, frustration) on the road. He’s had some very kind things to say about Power Trip, too.

Blythe has also expressed his love for his tourmates in Deafheaven, saying “I am such a fan of this band — great dudes, too,” and sharing appreciation for drummer Daniel Tracy’s skills behind the kit. So to cap things off on the tour’s final night in Hollywood, CA, Blythe joined them on stage for a song. Here’s some fan-filmed footage of “Dream House,” from the 2013 album Sunbather; the dingus that filmed it did so with his phone positioned vertically so it’s tough to see much, but the audio is surprisingly clear. And damn, Blythe sounds straight BEASTLY, giving this track — which was already plenty powerful — a whole new life.

Lamb of God head out on the road again this spring with Clutch and Corrosion of Conformity, hitting markets they missed this last time around; dates here.
