Rivers of Nihil Share the Power of Their Live Show with New “Monarchy” Video

Rivers of Nihil are getting set to kick off a headline tour with Dark Sermon and Black Fast tomorrow! It’s winter, we all need a bit of live metal in our lives to shake off those doldrums and escape our houses, and all three of these bands positively rip. Better yet, they’re all a bit different from one another, and bills that have some variety from band to band are always the most fun.

To celebrate, Rivers of Nihil have released a live video of the title track from their most recent album Monarchy. Like the video for “Sand Baptism” they released a couple of months back, the clip was filmed at their fall show in Los Angeles with Hate Eternal, and the audio you hear is completely, 100% real — no second takes, no overdubs, no bullshit whatsoever. It sucks that such videos are rare these days, but they are, and the fact that Rivers are bold enough to release one speaks to the strength of their live chops.

Get tour dates below. Also be sure to watch a very impressive playthrough video new drummer Dylan Potts recently published if you haven’t yet.
