Randy Blythe and Testament’s Alex Skolnick Unite Horns for Print Magazine Unbuilt

In what many journalists would consider a pretty ballsy move, Randy Blythe, Alex Skolnick and Tom Bejgrowicz have teamed up to create Unbuilt, a print magazine which will feature all three as editors.

It’s well-known that he’s very intelligent… but Randy Blythe as a magazine editor? Gotta say I never thought I’d be writing those words, other than when I have to tell people that he is not a magazine editor (it happens so much more than you would think).

But like I said, this is kind of a ballsy move. Having studied journalism for the past three years, I, as well as many of you, know that the print medium is on the decline. It’s not uncommon for new magazines, especially niche magazines like this, to fail. That being said, anything with Randy Blythe’s name on it is bound to get enough attention to get a solid foundation started so if the magazine is good, it will surely retain enough of an audience to continue publishing.

Also, $1 from every magazine sold will be split between the Humane Society International and the International Committee of the Red Cross. Helping people is always good, right?

Unbuilt will publish biannually; the first issue of Unbuilt ships out April 26 for $9. You can preorder it here and take a few peaks at the magazine below.
