Alice in Chains Announce Summer Tour Dates!

0

Alice in Chains 2016Alice in Chains are one of those bands whose fans seem to split strongly amongst generational lines: if you came of age during their heyday, you’re a fan, but if not you don’t quite get what the big deal is. There are exceptions, of course; there always are. But because Alice in Chains were gone for so long they weren’t able to consistently refresh their fanbase over the years. Which is too bad, because these guys are not only phenomenally important in rock/metal history, but still firing on all cylinders.

But no matter: those of us who were there — and hopefully some younger folks, too — will be stoked to learn that Alice in Chains are heading out on a big summer tour. The run will go through most of July, hitting a handful of cities from West Coast to East and playing large theaters. It’s not clear why the tour only goes one direction, but maybe more dates will be announced soon. It’s been a number of years already since I saw AiC — on the Black Gives Way to Blue tour — so I’m good and ready for another hit.
