asphalt graves - the new primitive album cover

In March, MetalSucks was delighted to help introduce the world to Asphalt Graves, a totally siqq new deathgrind band featuring the all-star line-up of Jason Netherton (Misery Index, ex-Dying Fetus), Adam Faris (ex-War Torn), Brent Purgason (GWAR), and Shannon Lucas (ex-The Black Dahlia Murder, ex-All That Remains). As of this writing, the track we debuted, “Angst and Praise,” has gotten more than 23,000 listens; that number suggests that the metal community’s interest was more than piqued. And, y’know. Rightfully so!

This being the case, you should all be thrilled to learn that the band has released another new song, “Who Do You Serve?” You can stream it below, courtesy of Stereogum. It is as thoroughly destructive as “Angst and Praise,” if not more so. It is also, being a grind song, under ninety seconds in length, so the the time-spent-to-fun-results ratio is the second best you will have today (after the seven seconds it takes you to rub one out).

And MOAR good news: Asphalt Graves’ debut, The New Primitive, now has an official release date: July 8 on on Vitriol Records(Graf Orlock, Ghostlimb). Mark it in your calendars, dummies! This record is gonna be unfuckwithable!!!
