“Too Many Devils and Drugs”: Fistula’s Therapist Gets Paid Ovetime

A lot of bands like to vent their frustrations through abstract concepts. For example, Origin deal with their humanity via a track called “The Absurdity of What I Am.” These are the kinds of ideas that creep into your brain after hours of introspective thought and analysis.

But Ohio’s Fistula (easily one of my favorite disgusting band names) are pretty aware of their problems: “Too Many Devils and Drugs.” On the first track from the follow-up to 2014’s Vermin Prolificus, the guys deliver a vicious, straightforward attack on the eardrums and extol the sins and horrors of heavy metal murder. I think? There’s definitely a lyric in there that sounds like, “Kill for Satan in the name of Danzig!” So that’s what I’m going with. Either way, the song shreds.

Check out “Too Many Devils and Drugs.” Fistula’s new album, Longing for Infection, drops July 15th on PATAC Records. You can pre-order it at the band’s website.
