Henry Rollins is in a new ad for Calvin Klein, along with other high-profile musicians, models and celebrities such as Frank Ocean, Young Thug, Kate Moss, David Blaine, Zoe Kravitz and more. Seeing musicians align themselves with large brands isn’t exactly new hat; it’s become more and more common, and accepted, in the past decade as artists struggle to earn a living, whatwith declining revenue from sales of recorded music. It’s also really not that big of a deal; the jeans Henry Rollins chooses to wear seems about as unlikely to change his music or political views as Donald Trump’s weave is unlikely to change the fact that he’s an idiot.
But that hasn’t stopped the punk world from losing its shit anyway! Sellout! A corporation! HOW COULD HE?!?!
