Exclusive Album Stream: Family, Future History

Family - Future HistoryHas it really been four years since Brooklyn outfit Family released their debut album Portrait? Hot diggity. That record — a blend of classic rock, modern metal, and all sorts of proggy proggisms — bowled us and the rest of the metal world over with its originality, and even impressed the folks at Prosthetic Records enough to ink the band to a deal.

Now Family return with their sophomore effort — and first up in the big leagues — Future History, which comes out this Friday, July 15th. The album sees the band expanding upon their signature sound in the most logical way: a little more of everything. The classic rock riffs are hookier, the heavy parts more punishing, the proggy time-shifts more audacious… overall, everything is just better.

We couldn’t be more stoked to be premiering the album to the world. Stream Future History in full below, and pre-order it here. Catch the band on a massive North American tour starting later this month, including a stop at Psycho Las Vegas. Dates below the embed.
