Revolver ads just be breakin’ news all the over the place this week: yesterday, one such page gave the world the title and release date for the new Meshuggah album, and today, another such page is giving the world the title and release date of the new album from The Dillinger Escape Plan! It’s called Dissociation, and it will be out October 14 on Party Smasher Inc.:

So remember how we thought the album might be called Limerent Death? Turns out that’s just the name of the first single, which is all set to be released this weekend. Hopefully that will happen at a time when we’re all near our computers… but if not, this twenty second sample (which might actually be from a different song on the album altogether) may tide you over ’til Monday. I mean probably not because it’s just a bunch of rumbling with bleeps and bloops, but it may. It’s within the realm of possibility.

So this is all great news.

Meanwhile, the band will kick off a North American tour — which will be hitting smaller-than-usual venues — next week, and on that tour, they’ll be selling a “Limerent Death” 7″, which will feature the song with and without vocals. Get tour dates here.
