Greg Pucciato Says The Dillinger Escape Plan are Done, Not on Hiatus

0

Last month, I wrote about The Dillinger Escape Plan officially breaking up, to which plenty of commenters took the time to say, “It’s actually an extended hiatus, but nice clickbait headline, ass,” or something along those lines.

So it’s with both distress and bitter enjoyment that I present this statement from a recent interview with Greg Pucciato in Metal Hammer:

“‘Extended hiatus’ would leave people to believe that we think that we’re coming back. We’re breaking up, we’re not going on an ‘extended hiatus.’ We just feel like… This is a really weird thing to say but we really do still love what we do. We don’t love it any less.”

So, boo, it’s very real that the DEP are breaking up. Meanwhile, a bouquet of dicks to those commenters who thought I’d announce this without doing my homework.

The Dillinger Escape Plan’s final album, Disassociation, drops October 14th on Party Smasher Inc. Pre-order it here, and catch them on tour next month at one of the dates listed here.
