Dream Theater’s New “New World” Includes Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale

Given that I’m a fan of neither Dream Theater nor Halestorm, I kinda assumed I’d totally hate this new version of DT’s “Our New World,” which features guest vocals by Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale.

So imagine my surprise when I listened to the song and found that I didn’t totally hate it — I only strongly dislike it! Two things it has going for it:

1. It’s almost a full minute shorter than the original.
2. Dream Theater finally got a vocalist with balls.
