WSOU Picks of the Week: Every Time I Die, Charred Walls of the Damned, Brujeria

0

Seton Hall University’s WSOU radio is the only all-metal, all-the-time station currently broadcasting in the US, and as been a force in metal for DECADES. It’s also streamable online from anywhere in the world! Each week, the staff of WSOU shares their picks for the heaviest of the heavy, as well as the station’s charts for that week, right here on MetalSucks. Enjoy:

Every Time I Die – “I Didn’t Want To Join Your Stupid Cult Anyway” (Mike C.)

ETID’s latest offering Low Teens is out today and damn, it’s good! “I Didn’t Want To Join Your Stupid Cult Anyway” is an absolute rager of a track. Eight albums into their career and they haven’t lost any steam at all. This is especially apparent if you’ve seen the band live recently, so go listen to the album and get stoked to see them on their upcoming tour with Beartooth, Fit For A King, and Jersey’s own Old Wounds!

Charred Walls of the Damned – “The Soulless” (Nick D.)

Charred Walls of the Damned are back with new music for the first time in five years. This is some kick ass thrash with soaring melodic vocals brought to you by good ole Tim “Ripper” Owens (ex-Judas Priest). Richard Christy, formerly of Death and radio personality on the Howard Stern Show, shreds on the drums with double bass galore. You’ll probably want to play some air drums to those sick thrash beats. I feel like I’m on a mountain and there are bald eagles circling around me as I throw up my arms in victory.

Brujeria – “No Aceptan Imitaciones” (Garren L.)

This band first came to my attention due to the huge amount of promotion on Nuclear Blast Records’ Facebook page. So when this song finally came out my curiosity forced me to listen, and I’m glad that I did. Brujeria play high octane, no nonsense death metal and sometimes that’s just what you need in your life.
