Synthwave Phenom Carpenter Brut Announces 2017 North American Tour!

0

2017 is shaping up to a landmark year for American synthwave fans. First, Perturbator — perhaps the most popular synthwave artist in the world — announced a limited North American run, with GosT as support on three dates — that MetalSucks is pleased to be sponsoring. And now, just a few weeks later, word comes down that Carpenter Brut — the mysterious, French synthwave phenom right up there with Perturbator at the top of the genre — is planning a Stateside tour as well.

The 14-date trek will take place in March, hit mostly major markets (including two shows in Canada) and an appearance at SXSW. A press release tells us the live configuration of the band will feature three musicians — a drummer, a guitarist, and Mr. Brut himself on keys — with “a visual background of cool and cheesy old school movies.” We’re sure there will be quite the light show, too, making the entire show a full-on audio-visual experience. Fuck yeah.

Anyone familiar with Carpenter Brut’s music needs no reminders of how fucking hard it goes, and why it holds so much appeal to metalheads. For those who aren’t hip yet… don’t hesitate to say “yes” when your friend invites you along. You’re in for a treat.
