Ice T Claims New Body Count Album “Will be the Best Album of the Year Across All Musical Genres”

Body Count are coming back for more: after a 2014 reactivation that saw the LA metal act release their first album since 2006, Ice T is proving that he’s serious about keeping the band active with a follow-up in 2017.

Earlier this year Body Count announced they were recording a new album, and celebrated by posting a live cover of Slayer’s “Reigning Blood” that had the metalwebs all achatter. And now Ice T’s posted a clip from the video shoot for a new song called “No Lives Matter,” the subject of which you can closely guess from the title alone. In the video’s opening monolog Ice sounds just as fired up as ever, and once the track kicks in… yeah, this one’s gonna be a banger. Watch:

Separately, Ice had some very strong words about the new album, which will be called Bloodlust and will come out in March via Century Media:

Excited? I am. Bring it on!
