Sick of easily-classifiable cookie cutter bands? Hey, we feel you. And, we’re happy to report, we have the cure for what ails you: Without Waves.

This Chicago quartet specialize in proggy, experimental metal that draws from a vast array of influences to create something genuinely unique. Are they The Dillinger Escape Plan on steroids? Meshuggah playing hardcore? The love child of Between the Buried and Me and Intonaut? Destrage covering Sikth covering Death? All of these descriptions kinda/sorta hint at Without Waves’ sound, but none of them actually do the band justice. Really, it’s best if you just listen to the band let their music wash over you (pardon the pun).

Which, it just so happens, you can do right here, right now! MetalSucks is thrilled to debut “Sewing Together the Limbs,” the first single from their forthcoming Prosthetic Records debut, Lunar. You can check it out below! Then pre-order Lunar ahead of its March 17 release here (physical, North America), here (physical, Europe), or here (digital). The band also has a whole bunch of tour dates coming up! You can get those at the bottom of this post. Tell ’em MetalSucks sent ya.
