Disney Released a Metal Covers Album of Classic Disney Tunes

0

Disney has made a habit of banning metal bands from its venues, but apparently they’ve got no problem capitalizing on its aesthetic.

The House of Mouse just released an album consisting of metal covers of classic Disney tunes on Walt Disney Records in the U.S.; it was released in Japan last year. The Little Mermaid’s “Under the Sea,” “It’s a Small World” and Winnie the Pooh are just a few of the songs to get the metal treatment on the album.

The band on the record is called the D-Metal Stars, and consists of vocalist Mike Vescera (Obsession), bassist Rudy Sarzo (ex-Ozzy, ex-Quiet Riot), guitarist John Bruno (Obsession) and drummer BJ Zampa (ex-Dokken).

Check out “Beauty and the Beast” from the album below.
