Kix Offer Update on Guitarist Ronnie Younkins, Who Went Missing Last Month

0

Kix have posted an update on the condition of guitarist Ronnie Younkins, who was nowhere to be found when the rest of the band went to pick him up en route to a gig in Pennsylvania last month. The statement doesn’t reveal anything about Ronnie’s whereabouts before he was found the morning after his disappearance “not in great condition and very upset,” but we can read between the lines here based on his history of alcohol and drug addiction (he was last in rehab in 2015 for alcohol abuse).

Here’s Kix’s statement via Facebook:

“To all our fans:

Thank you for your concern about our dear friend Ronnie. Our hearts and prayers go out to him and his family, and we wish him the best on his continued journey toward recovery. As we all well know, the road to recovery is not easy, but with the support of family, friends, and fans too, this difficult time becomes just a little easier to manage.

Ronnie is currently headed to a rehab facility and will be in good hands. Brian will once again fill Ronnie’s shoes until Ronnie is ready to return to KIX, to his side of the stage, which is waiting for him.

See you soon…

Brian, Jimmy, Steve and Mark”

We hope Ronnie gets all the help he needs and we wish him a speedy recovery and return to the stage.
