Eighteen Visions Release “Oath,” Their First New Song in Eleven Years; Listen Here

  • Axl Rosenberg

After more than two months of teases, the reunited Eighteen Visions have, at last, released a single from their new albumXVIII. “Oath” is actually far heavier than I’d predicted; it sounds like a more polished version of something off of Until the Ink Runs Out. Obviously whether or not that’s a good thing is in the ear of the listener… personally, I can’t help but wish this song had a chorus. I dunno, maybe it will grow on me. But after all the hype, I find it a little anticlimactic.

Check out “Oath” for yourself below and see what you think. XVIII comes out June 2 on Rise. You can pre-order it here.
