FINALLY, a Cover of Meshuggah’s “New Millennium Cyanide Christ” Played on a Shovel (with a Clarinet Solo, No Less)

Ever since the release of Meshuggah’s Chaosphere nearly twenty years ago, fans have been asking one question: “When oh when will someone cover this song on a shovel and give it a clarinet solo?”

Now the dream is real at last, thanks to the always-brilliant Rob Scallon. And it’s every bit as good as you always hoped it would be. In fact, I would imagine that Scallon is now a shoe-in for next year’s Grammy for Best Metal Performance. Unless someone finally gets around to re-recording Dissection’s “Where Dead Angels Lie” with a boot, of course. But I’m starting to lose hope that will ever happen.
