Gene Hoglan, renowned drummer and super-stealthy burrito smuggler, is auctioning off one of his kits. And not just any old kit: it’s a Pearl Masters custom set with the logo from Strapping Young Lad’s Alien on the bass drums. According to a press release, Hoglan has “utilized [the set] on Ozzfest, tours with Opeth, Strapping Young Lad, Unearth, and on Hoglan’s first DVD, The Atomic Clock.” He also used it to record Strapping Young Lad’s final album, The New Black

Hoglan will donate a portion of the proceeds from this sale to The National Association of Free & Charitable Clinics  in memory of Death frontman Chuck Schuldiner and Michelle Meldrum. In case you couldn’t guess from its name, NAFC’s mission to “To ensure that the medically underserved have access to affordable quality health care.” That’s obviously a worthy cause — and it will become even more important if the AHCA passes into law.

You can watch a video from Hoglan about the auction below; then go here to bid.
