King Parrot Announce New Album Ugly Produce, Release Beautiful Music Video

0

I don’t know what the fuck is going on here, but I like it.

King Parrot have announced the release of their new album, Ugly Produce, which will be out September 22nd via Housecore Records. And from what frontman Matt Young says about this record, it sounds hilarious:

“‘’Ugly Produce’ reaches new heights in abrasive songwriting and serves up an odious pile of repulsive flavors you wouldn’t want to find on your local fruit and vegetable shelves. It’s a repugnant harvest of gnarled and nasty grind, death metal, thrash, and punk rock and it’s more caustic than ever.”

Sign me up! This medley of metal sounds like so much fun.

The band has given us a taste one of the fruits in this “odious pile of repulsive flavors” in the form of new single “Ten Pounds of Shit in a Five Pound Bag.” I think this video is great — especially the very end. I was stunned when I first saw it, utterly amazed at the wonder this video held within it. Why is he walking around with a dildo on his head? Who are these people that just accost a man on the street by calling him such an obscure insult? What the fuck is happening? Watch to get answers to two of those questions:

The song is also really good, it is definitely an exciting blending of genres that comes together in a way that goes hard and manages to be hilarious. You can really hear the influence of each different style; grind and punk can be a little difficult to distinguish from one another, but the thrash and death metal sides are evident throughout. I’m really impressed. This song has me so excited for this album that I have already pre-ordered it for myself. You can do the same here.

They are also going to be on tour with DevilDriver, Superjoint, Child Bite, and Cane Hill the day after the album comes out. Get dates below:
