End Streams New Track “Chewing Glass”

0

End, featuring members of Counterparts and Fit For An Autopsy, have released a new song from their debut album, The Unforgiving Arms of God. “Chewing Glass” is hazy and grim, but it definitely share some qualities with Fit For An Autopsy — specifically, long pick scrapes.

Honestly, I think it’s a little weird. I wouldn’t say it’s bad, but I wouldn’t actively seek it out, either (the band’s first single, “Usurper,” was superior in my opinion). That being said, it grows on me more with every listen. The high-octane pick scrapes don’t grate against my ears as much and the fuzziness becomes clearer. It has this horrible anxiety-inducing noise in the background that I can’t quite get over, but it does communicate the feeling of chewing glass. It is not pleasant. I am definitely interested in what the rest of End has to offer.

Check out “Chewing Glass” below. The Unforgiving Arms of God will be out September 8th, and can be pre-ordered here. The band also have two shows coming up in support of the album; you can get those at the bottom of this post.
