lol It’s a New Powerman 5000 Song

It’s easy to bag on Powerman 5000 because… well, Powerman 5000! It’s a miracle this band is still kicking.

I will say this, though: even though Powerman 5000 have been writing basically the same exact song over and over again for their 20+ year career, it’s a pretty damn good one.

I will add this, too: if ever there were a time for this type of metal to make a resurgence, that time is right fucking now. It’s already happening: there’s been quite a wave of renewed interest in ’90s-style industrial bubbling up from the underground over the past year or so.

So, here’s Powerman 5000’s new single “Sid Vicious in a Dress.” If you superimposed it over any number of other PM5K songs you probably wouldn’t be able to tell the difference, but it’s certainly catchy. Plus you get to think about Sid Vicious wearing a dress. So press play, I say, and see what happens.
