0

Seton Hall University’s WSOU radio is the only all-metal, all-the-time station currently broadcasting in the US, and as been a force in metal for DECADES. It’s also streamable online from anywhere in the world! Each week, the staff of WSOU shares their picks for the heaviest of the heavy, as well as the station’s charts for that week, right here on MetalSucks. Enjoy:

Logan’s Room – “Transgression” (Joe R.)

Logan’s Room, straight out of the Long Island scene, just released their new EP entitled To Be Continued…, which includes the song “Transgression.” THIS TRACK HITS HARD! If you’re a fan of Avatar or Korn, their influence is insanely evident on this track. The riffs are killer and the vocals are complemented by the other insanely talented musicians in the band. Definitely worth a listen!

Thy Art Is Murder – “Puppet Master” (Adrianna M.)

Thy Art is Murder’s new album Dear Desolation transcends the band’s past music and takes them to new heights. The song “Puppet Master” takes the gold with the killer breakdowns slamming you over and over only to beat you down even more during the song’s final minute. But the real winner from this song is the line, “THINK FOR YOUR FUCKING SELF” to kick off the epic, final breakdown that makes you want to scream and punch someone.

Empyrean Throne – “Sed Nomini Tuo Da Gloriam” (Dylan G.)

Add a sprinkle of Dimmu, a pinch of Belphegor, and two cups of blast beats. Bake in the fires of hell for 47 minutes and your Empyrean Throne album will be ready to serve. Nothing says black metal like baking, right?
