Premiere: Stream Perturbator’s New EP New Model Right Now!

Perturbator - New ModelFrench dark synthwave phenom Perturbator will begin a 25-date North American tour tomorrow, September 5th. If you missed his quick visit last winter, hoooooo boy are you in for a treat! And if you caught him live on that limited run, there’s no way you’re going to miss him this time through. His shows are off the fucking chain, and for an electronic artist they’re devastatingly heavy — it’s no wonder at least half the audience were heshers in battle vests.

To coincide with the launch of his tour, MetalSucks is pleased to bring you the North American premiere of Perturbator’s brand new “long-form EP” New Model. With an originally announced release date of October 20th, labels Blood Music and Perturbator’s own Music of the Void — who are co-releasing the effort — have decided to bump things up a bit to coincide with the pending live shows. Not that we’re complaining!

New Model offers all the hard-changing beats, cut-throat synths and brutal [keyboard] riffs that’ve made Perturbator the top force in the dark synthwave genre. Here’s what Blood Music offers on the album:

“Composed in secret, “New Model” follows quickly on the heels of his Billboard chart-topping album “The Uncanny Valley” and explores the bleak and slithering circuitry at the core of modern life. Reveling in utter madness, gnarled and distorted low-end, and eschewing all modern rules of tempo; the 34-and-a-half minute EP enters quickly and cleans out your core, guiding you on a dystopian odyssey through the underbelly of fierce glitch and madness.”

New Model is out now; stream it below and order it here on gatefold LP or CD, and digitally via iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, Bandcamp, etc.
