Trivium Frontman Checks in from Hurricane Irma

With the wrath of Hurricane Irma bearing down on Florida as we speak, millions of residents took extreme measures to prepare over the weekend. Amongst those: Trivium frontman/guitarist Matt Heafy, who lives in the city best known for Disney World and the murder of an unarmed, infamously hooded teenager.

Heafy posted a series of updates to Instagram over the past several days and seems to have been spared the worst. This morning’s post reports that he lost power and it’s “rainy/windy as the apocalypse,” but aside from some small leaks in the house and debris splayed all about his lawn and street, “we good.” Heafy had his house all boarded up to prepare for the storm, and looks like he treated himself to one very delicious dinner out the night before Irma rolled in.
