Track Premiere: Disparager, “Pictures” (A Cappella Remix)

“A cappella” and “metal” don’t often go together, but there’s a reason Disparager have chosen to release a vocal-only remix of their track “Pictures” to coincide with the launch of their upcoming tour: it’s really well done!

The track finds the NYC post-hardcore group layering vocals on top of one another in a way that doesn’t feel forced or cheesy. None of the immediacy of the original track, which we’ve included below if you’d like to compare and contrast, is lost. What we’re saying is this: this isn’t your standard feel-good, boppy, a cappella ditty, it’s still a metal track in essence.

Disparager’s spate of fall live dates starts tomorrow with one date opening for 36 Crazyfists, after which they head out with Genosha, Set and Setting and Your Chance to Die, all on different shows. Dates at the bottom of this post.
