Pig Destroyer are in the Studio Making a New Album; Life Worth Living Again

This may very well qualify as the best news of the flaming heap of vomit-soaked shit that has been 2017: Pig Destroyer have entered the studio to record their sixth full-length album. It doesn’t have a title yet, but it is tentatively scheduled for release in Summer 2018 on Relapse. Assuming that is indeed when the record is released, it will have been six years since Book Burner, the band’s last album. That’s even longer than we had to wait in-between Phantom Limb and Book Burner! NO WONDER I FEEL LIKE SHIT ALL THE TIME!!!

It goes without saying that this is great news, the kind of information which makes you drink responsibly, look both ways carefully before crossing the street, and maybe even hit the gym. Anything to ensure that you’re still alive to experience this thing when it comes out.

Speaking of walking on sunshine, the band has also announced a handful of live dates for both 2017 and 2018. I should not have to tell you that it’s worth pushing your grandmother down the stairs to go see Pig Destroyer live. Get those dates below and tell Grammy to watch the fuck out:

Dec 07 Los Angeles, CA The Regent
Dec 08 San Diego, CA Brick By Brick
Dec 09 Oakland, CA Metro Operahouse
Feb 23 Garwood, NJ Crossroads
Feb 24 Long Island, NY Obnoxious Noise Fest
May 26 Baltimore, MD Maryland Deathfest 2018
