Metallica Play the Hometown of Black Sabbath, Lead “War Pigs” Crowd Singalong
On the recent Birmingham stop of their current tour, Metallica took some time to pay homage to the city’s hometown heroes Black Sabbath. Singer James Hetfield pauses to re-introduce Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo then lets them take over to lead the crowd in singing a low-key, stripped-down version of the iconic “War Pigs.” I guess if they couldn’t get Ozzy himself out there again just yet this is a pretty decent substitution.
