Exclusive Track Premiere: Inferi’s “Behold the Bearer of Light,” Featuring Trevor Strnad of The Black Dahlia Murder

Speaking of gnarly death metal bands recruiting Trevor Strnad for a little help: The Black Dahlia Murder frontman lends some of his distinctive screams to “Behold the Bearer of Light,” the first single from Inferi‘s fourth album, Revenant. If that makes you feel more compelled to check out the song, well, that’s great. But the truth is, the track shouldn’t need no fancy-schmancy guest appearances to garner your interest, ’cause it stands on its own two feet… or murders with its own two hands, such as the case may be.

Like the band for which Strnad is known, Inferi’s music is mischievous in its maliciousness. Yeah yeah yeah, it will make you feel like you’ve been sucked into a whirlpool and are now careening through a river of acid, but it’s not just a joyless flood of vitriol. Put another way: it’s angry and it’s aggro, but it’s also a shit load of fun.

Comments Inferi Guitarist Malcolm Pugh regarding Revenant:

“This album was long overdue, but are all very proud of how ‘Revenant’ turned out as a whole. Our new lineup has really set the bar higher than we ever thought was possible for the sound we are trying to create, so this is by far the most mature album we have ever put together. Each song has its own character and as a whole, I think it will take listeners on a journey through some very interesting and energetic musical passages.”
