Godsmack and Shinedown Will Tour Together, Announce More Dates
It may amuse those of you who are new around here to learn that I’m a big Shinedown fan. Lob all your negative superlatives my way, it’s fine, I’m a boy boy and I can take it! I have a special affinity for their 2008 album The Sound of Madness — I actually have a platinum record of it, with my name engraved, hanging in my office (true story!) — but really nothing they’ve ever put out has been a stinker. IMO they’ve always been a musical cut about the rest of the hard rock radio pack, and they’re one of only a small handful of bands in that genre I can truly get behind.
All that’s a long-winded way of saying I would totally check out their summer tour with Godsmack, even if I’m not a fan of the latter (at all). The duo recently announced a bunch of shows together — with Like a Storm and Red Sun Rising supporting — and now they’ve announced some more; you can get all the dates below. Check out Shinedown’s newly released song “Devil” while you’re at it from the new album Attention Attention, out May 4th.
