Watch Ghost’s First Performance with Cardinal Copia

0

Last week, news broke that Ghost’s “new” frontman would not be Papa Emeritus IV. Instead, we welcomed Cardinal Copia, who, while much less impressive in appearance than the Emeritus gang, still puts on a pretty good show. The band performed a private acoustic set in Chicago to debut their new lineup that included the new song, “Rats,” which will appear on the next Ghost album.

Speaking of a new album, Ghost have been teasing their fans about the upcoming release by means of ominous videos. In the most recent clip, the Sister of Sin mentioned to Papa Emeritus that his sons have a “new mission.” What is this mission? Only time will tell. What we do know is that the new album will feature themes of death and doom and possibly medieval tales that carry relevance in modern times. There’s no official release date, but the record is expected to be out sometime this year.

While you speculate, check out Ghost’s acoustic performance of “Cirice” below and get their upcoming tour dates.
