The Metal Cover of Avicii’s “Wake Me Up” You’ve Always Wanted

0

First thing’s first: R.I.P. Avicii. Such a very, very sad story, and one that unfortunately has become common in recent years in the music community. I know it’s much easier said than done, but if you’re struggling with depression and suicidal thoughts, reach out to someone. It’s OK to not feel OK!

The below metal cover of Avicii’s hit song “Wake Me Up” was actually planned by YouTubers Leo Moracchioli (Frog Leap Studios) and Trey Xavier (Gear Gods) before his untimely death, so the duo decided to soldier on and dedicate it to the late pop producer. It was filmed while Xavier was visting Moracchioli in Norway, and the duo did an incredible job, a really fun metal take on what will no doubt end up being a timeless pop classic. Also, jeez, those aerial shots of the Norwegian countryside… I need to visit ASAP! How’s August looking for you, Leo?
