My Metal T-Shirt Collection

Angel Vivaldi Shares His Ten Favorite Metal T-Shirts… Uh…

A metalhead’s t-shirt collection contains some of their most prized possessions. Sweaty, stained and torn, our shirts are chronicles of our lives, physical markers of a past time and place that we pridefully put on our bodies every day. They have a clear pecking order: there are those shirts you wear only when all the best ones are in the laundry, there are the absolute favorites you wear once every couple of weeks, and there are all the shirts in between, each with their own clear rank. To a metalhead, T-shirts are EVERYTHING.

Guitar wizard Angel Vivaldi is the latest to share his wardrobe choices for our series My Metal T-Shirt Collection. If you know anything about Angel you’re likely aware that he isn’t the type of fellow who wears dirty, sweat-stained t-shirts; he is a man of class and his wardrobe reflects that! Below are some of the standouts in his current rotation with his own commentary attached.

Angel Vivaldi will be on tour with Hyvmine in late June and July. Dates at the end of this post.

Yup… this is our starting point ladies and gentlemen. That is all.
I got this piece for NAMM 2017. I treat NAMM like a hella bootleg red carpet.
Kinda looks like a member from Nine Inch Nails crossed with a saggy testicle on a hot summer day. I fucks with it.
Rest assured, you will sweat your fucking balls off wearing this on stage while prancing around like Shreddy Mercury. It’s basically a low-key sponge towel.
Serving you B-list White Ranger realness. I wore this in my first official music video for “A Mercurian Summer.” #GoGoPowerGaynger
Sad that this piece is black because it’s so sick I lactate whenever I wear it; evidently I don’t wear it enough.
Alright, alright… this one is FUCKED. UP. I get it… I know. It’s as if the more expensive they get the harder it is to imagine what it actually looks like on a human being. This is a piece from Bulgarian designers DEMOBAZA; you’ve probably seen some of their pieces online. This was one of the wardrobe pieces from the “.._ _ _,” (Two) music video. I shipped my band and a production crew out to a desert in the middle of July and shot a crazy sci-fi video while wearing pounds of these clothes and heavy makeup. Somehow we all lived to tell the tale.
A $500 black napkin, ladies and gentlemen. I want to say this is a piece by Gareth Pugh who has designed a bunch of looks for Lady Gaga, but it could also be DEMOBAZA. Who the fuck cares.
I wore this for Away With Words, Part 1 promos. I’ve worn it twice in four years, mainly because performing in this is absolutely out of the question. The sleeves puddle over the hands and it weights about eight pounds. I sweat worse than James Brown and Whitney Houston combined and I am not the one for that. With the nutjobs and gun issues in this country, this isn’t quite an everyday look either. This some Middle-Earth/Game of Thrones kinda shit.
”…if you can’t love yourself how in the hell are you gonna love somebody else, CAN I GET AN AMEN?”
Soooo this is my blouse. Ok, it’s not a blouse, but I mean, it’s sorta low key? I love it because not only does it look FABULOUS, it’s also paper fucking thin so my tits can breathe-easy on stage. Cleavage is forever present when this is worn. This kinda looks like one of those Harry Potter spirit things… fuck were they called? DEMENTORS!! But maybe a dementor with a massive head and tiny body… waddup.
This is sorta like a G-Rated Albino Dementor… except with a foreskin. #DontDickscriminate
