Last night (June 13), Cave In headlined a concert at The Royale in Boston, MA in memory of former bassist/vocalist Caleb Scofield, who passed away in a tragic accident earlier this year. The show also featured appearances from Converge, Old Man Gloom, and The Cancer Conspiracy, with proceeds going to the Scofield family.

The members of Cave In were joined for a portion of their set by Caleb’s brother, Kyle Scofield, who shares his sibling’s expertise on the bass. Cave In frontman Stephen Brodsky noted, “It feels really good to have some Scofield blood up here with us.”

Kyle Scofield performed several songs, including “Youth Overrided,” “Heartbreaks, Earthquakes,” “Tension in the Ranks,” and Neil Young’s “Harvest Moon,” before handing over the stage to Converge’s Nate Newton, whose set included “Dark Driving,” “Off to Ruin,” “Trepanning,” “Big Riff,” and “Sing My Loves.” The band also played material from Zozobra, another band founded by Caleb Scofield.
