The Dillinger Escape Plan’s Ben Weinman Will Play Guitar for Suicidal Tendencies on Upcoming Tour

Remember all the way back to a few hours ago when we wondered aloud who would be replacing Jeff Pogan, who vacated the rhythm guitar spot in Suicidal Tendencies less than two weeks before their tour?

Now we know why there was a delay in the band announcing Pogan’s departure: they were finalizing details on his replacement, Ben Weinman, mastermind and guitarist for The Dillinger Escape Plan (R.I.P.)! That’s a helluva replacement!

Suicidal announced the gig just moments ago via Twitter:

“SxTx is getting ready to take off for the July tour dates. Speaking of flying, we’re extremely honored and SToked to have the insane Ben Weinman @dillingerescpln playing guitar for us on these shows! Hope you are ready for this! Thanks for the support and SEE YOU IN THE PIT!”

Weinman kept it brief, offering the following on Instagram along with a list of dates:

“Really excited to be playing shows with one of my childhood favorites, @suicidaltendencies”
